Welcome to ByteBack Technology. By purchasing from our store, you agree to the following terms. These terms ensure clarity, fairness, and a smooth experience for both you and us.

 

1. General

ByteBack Technology sells refurbished and repurposed electronic devices. All items are tested, cleaned, and verified before sale. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and our associated policies, including:

  • Shipping Policy
  • Return & Refund Policy
  • Warranty Policy (if applicable)

These terms apply to all customers within New Zealand.

 

2. Product Condition & Descriptions

We specialise in refurbished, repurposed, and pre‑owned devices. Each product listing includes:

  • Condition
  • Specifications
  • Included accessories
  • Any known cosmetic wear
  • Any functional limitations (if applicable)

We make every effort to ensure accuracy. If an item is not as described, you are protected under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA).

 

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in NZD and include GST where applicable. We reserve the right to update pricing at any time.

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Credit/debit cards
  • Shop Pay
  • PayPal
  • Other payment options available at checkout

Orders are only confirmed once payment is successfully processed.

 

4. Shipping & Delivery

We ship NZ‑wide. Delivery times vary depending on your location and courier performance.

Once your order is dispatched:

  • You will receive tracking information
  • Delivery responsibility transfers to the courier
  • ByteBack is not liable for delays caused by the courier

If your item arrives damaged, contact us immediately so we can assist.

 

5. Returns, Repairs, Replacements & Refunds

Your rights are protected under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA).

If your item develops a fault, we will:

  • Repair the device where practical
  • Replace it with the same or equivalent model if repair is not possible
  • Refund the purchase if the issue is major or cannot be resolved

We do not offer refunds for change of mind.

6. Warranty

Unless otherwise stated on the product page:

  • All refurbished devices include a 3 Month functional warranty
  • Additional warranty options may be listed per product

This warranty works alongside your rights under the CGA.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage
  • Liquid damage
  • Misuse or neglect
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications
  • Forgotten passwords or account lockouts

 

7. Software & Licensing

Some devices may include:

  • Windows 11
  • Windows 10 ESU (Extended Security Updates)
  • Other preinstalled software

Licensing terms are governed by the software provider (e.g., Microsoft). ByteBack is not responsible for software issues caused by user modifications, malware, or third‑party applications.

 

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by NZ law, ByteBack is not liable for:

  • Loss of data
  • Loss of business or income
  • Damage caused by misuse or third‑party repairs
  • Issues arising from software installed after purchase

Always back up your data before sending a device for repair.

 

9. Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before dispatch. Once shipped, the order is considered fulfilled and cannot be cancelled.

If an item is out of stock or unavailable, we will contact you to arrange a refund or alternative.

 

10. Privacy

11. Changes to These Terms
