Terms & Warranty
A clear starting point for ByteBack purchases and return-to-base support.
Standard warranty
Unless a listing or invoice states otherwise, qualifying ByteBack retail devices include a three-month return-to-base warranty. Coverage applies to faults arising under normal use during the stated period.
Return-to-base process
Customers should contact ByteBack before returning an item. The customer is responsible for safely delivering or shipping the item to ByteBack unless applicable law requires otherwise. ByteBack will assess the reported fault and advise the available remedy.
Exclusions
Warranty does not normally cover accidental damage, liquid damage, misuse, unauthorised repair, lost data, consumable degradation outside stated expectations or faults caused by incompatible accessories.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot legally be excluded under New Zealand consumer law.
Data
Customers are responsible for maintaining backups. Repairs and warranty assessment may require testing, resetting or reinstalling software.
